What is refreshing about Josh Stevenson aka Magneticring and his various works as an artist, is that his work does not come from some ulterior motive. He is a vessel, a channel, a deity of his own design with the sole purpose of making music that enriches the scene, instead of scorning it. Stevenson’s experiments under the Magneticring moniker have explored drone, psychedelia and ambient, all of it shaped by his unique collection of vintage and analog synthesizers.

Magneticring compositions fabricate their own microcosm of sound; paced, long-form pieces are frequent and often, sounds evolve into structures that resemble the monolithic phases of 70s psychedelia and horror soundtracks.
